The Asian Cup, began in 1956, has extended to 24 groups beginning around 2019 and has turned into what could be compared to the Euros and African Cup of Countries in their particular mainlands.
The 2023 release of the AFC Asian Cup, Asia’s greatest mainland competition, is set to start off in Qatar on January 12, 2024. The competition will see 24 groups vie for the sought after crown, with Qatar hoping to guard the title at home.
The Asian Cup, began in 1956 as a simple four-group competition, has extended to 24 groups beginning around 2019 and has turned into what could be compared to the Euros and African Cup of Countries in their particular mainlands.
At first planned to be facilitated in China, the Asian Cup was moved to Qatar in October 2022 after the previous surrendered the facilitating privileges, chasing after a zero-Coronavirus strategy.
Following is the timetable of the AFC Asian Cup, with the last booked on February 10 at the Lusail Arena
